Communicating with campers- Mail, Email, and Packages policy
'SNAIL MAIL'
Campers love getting mail and we encourage you to write often. We do our best to ensure your child writes home twice weekly. We suggest that you give your camper a few pre-addressed, stamped envelopes per week to make letter-writing easier. The mailing address is:
Camper’s Name
Unit/Section #_ Cabin # _ (you will receive on the first day of camp)
Camp Northland
4250 Haliburton Lake Road
Haliburton, ON K0M 1S0
BUNK NOTES, from Bunk1- New in 2024!
We are excited to announce a new way to communicate with your child at camp. All families will have the ability to send 'Bunk Notes' to your child, which is a one page letter that you compose and send through an app on your phone or browser on your computer and they will be delivered to your child by the next day! There are no limits to how many Bunk Notes your child can receive. There is a small fee per Bunk Note sent.
Please note that campers cannot reply directly to emails. Outgoing communication from camp is only via traditional mail.
More information about this will be communicated soon.
Please note: we will no longer be using the mail@campnbb email address. Do not send any mail to that address, it will not be checked.
PACKAGES:
We do not allow packages. Packages will not be delivered nor returned. They end up being opened, separated, and then donated or thrown out depending on the contents.

What kind of social-emotional support can the campers expect?
Each summer our staff works hard to acclimate campers to the experience of being away from home and to support kids in making new friends as they leave behind the digital world. They guide children and teens in their efforts to try out new skills as they stretch beyond their comfort zone. While we know that our campers have experienced disruption to their lives in countless ways, we are confident that Camp remains a place where kids can relax and have fun, connect with friends, explore Judaism and feel a sense of belonging. We have an exceptional team of camper care professionals who will continue the work of meeting campers where they are at and partnering with parents to support a successful summer at Camp.
If your family is in need of additional support to deal with these trying times, please reach out to Daniela Aptowitzer ([email protected]) Director of Camper and Staff Wellness (social worker).
More info about our Wellness program can be found here.
