Your eligibility for a reduction in fees is based on a financial assessment conducted through both information that you provide on the scholarship form and any supplementary materials, if requested, and then a Committee decision. The UJA financial assistance portal is being used to facilitate our scholarship process once again this year. Through this portal, applications are submitted directly to, and reviewed by, the organization you select, in our case, Camp Northland. We take careful steps to evaluate individual requests and decide on assistance based on individual family needs The entire scholarship application process respects and maintains confidentiality.

To better help you to further understand the scholarship process, please note the following additional scholarship guidelines:
- Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the camp off-season. Responses from the Scholarship Committee will be sent to the applicant family via the Camp Administration, approximately 3-6 weeks following receipt of applications, or as soon as possible thereafter.
- The camp may at some point approach its available scholarship fund budget at any time for its fiscal year allocations. Accordingly, it is recommended that you apply for scholarship as early as possible. Late applications can also expect a delayed response, or a denial if the budget is used for that fiscal year.
- Only requests submitted through the link above will be considered for funding.
- The total amount of scholarships available varies from year to year. Generally, camper scholarships range between $250 and $3,000 for the eligible programs, and generally the expectation is that families receiving financial assistance select one of either the July or August sessions.
- Our Experience programs (1 and 2 week sessions) already offer a reduced price point and generally are not considered for scholarships (some exceptions apply).
- Within each section, you must ensure that all questions are answered as completely and forthrightly as possible. If a question does not apply to your current situation, please mark it as ‘N/A’. Any application that does not have a fully completed payment breakdown when requested on the form, will not be considered.
- Applications must be reviewed, signed and dated by both Parents/Guardians. If the application is being submitted by a sole parent/guardian (where there is a separation or divorce), please indicate as such. If the application is missing information of any kind, it will not be processed.
- Please be aware that we do not accept “self employed” as an adequate response. You are required to provide a detailed explanation and also indicate your job title, the name of the employer or business, the number of employees, and the related financial statements.
- We may require supplementary forms to be completed
If you need assistance with any payment planning prior to the scholarship awards, please contact our team at [email protected] and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
